how do i make a light blink?

Default how do i make a light blink?

i want to make a flashing led light for a car alarm...anybody have an idea how to do it...i can get the led to stay on as a constant but i want it to blink like once every 2 or 3 seconds...a diagram would be awesome too..i tried to google but couldnt really find anything

Yup U hook it all up and get the Flasher Relay so it blinks Ill try to find the booklet I have on my alarm it showed me how to make one

wouldn't it be easier with a battery some diodes and a small capacitor ?

You can buy a blinking LED. They sell them at radio shack.

This thread makes me laugh. You don't actually have an alarm do you? You're just trying to make it appear as if you have one, right?

Every alarm I know of "blinks" the l.e.d. automatically.

well...if thats the case, why dont you go to the discount store and get one of these flashers people use at night when they drive a bicycle....
