$35 D series breather style PCV catch can setup with drain back
Posted this over on HMT and wanted to share over here... nothing special but this is a cheap mod that will provide twice as much ventilation from the black box on the back of the block.
total cost is under $35 with hoses, metal and filter.
if you are going to emulate this, here are how you can improve it.
use larger ID hose and tube (i used 1/2 inch). the larger your ID of your hose, the less oil will make it through the tube and the more pressure you will vent.
One 1" hose is much better than two 1/2" hoses.
Old racers rule is to have twice as much exhaust capacity as intake. so if you have two 1" lines going into your breather, have a 4" exit (that is the most optimal)
if you dont have the space, you must atleast match your exhaust with your intake. dont choke it.
try to use barbed fittings to prevent leaks.

i dont have anything inside of the can... i was thinking about adding baffling but decided to weld the top shut before i put the baffling in... heh
im not too worried because the contents should drain back before it gets full and theres quite a bit of space between the exhaust and intakes. (famous last words?)
