canister next to fuel filter

Default canister next to fuel filter

ok so im doin a tuck on my ef. i want to get everything out of the bay that i possibly can. my question is do i have to have the canister next to the fuel filter? if not what do i do with the vaccum lines? can i just cap some off? if i have to have the canister what would be the best thing to do to get most of those vaccum lines out of the bay?
