Default Cam repair skunk2's can it be done

Hey guys i'm debating on picking up a set of used skunk2 stg1 cams the one cam has some light grooves on one of the bearings/journal.

The cam came out of a motor that blew up so i'm assuming some small metal particles made it up on to the head

One cam is perfect and the other one it's only one bearing that is messed up

can it be repaired im getting a good deal i just don't want to waste my time if it can't be repaired

Stop being cheap & buy a new set of cams.

If you cannot afford a new set, or even a good used set of cams, you cannot afford to damage your motor by using these cams.

That being said, try contacting Tony @ Skunk2. See if they have any advice on cam journal repair, seeing as they make cams, they might have a clue on if that set is salvageable.

I got a hold of Brian at skunk He told me they can not be repaired they are done if there are grooves in them new material cannot be put on and if they are polished you will lose too much oil pressure which makes a lot of sense

Thanks guys now it's here for everyone
