b18a random CEL code 4 NEED HELP!
just bought this 91 4 door integra
needed an alternator... done
did a few other things while i was at it
checked compression
125 122 125 125
new plugs/wires
cap/rotor
well... car runs great, as good i could hope for
then after driving it about 10 miles it threw a CEL
when i got home i checked it... code 43
fuel supply. so i thought maybe the filter or FPR was to blame
but the next day, i started it up
took it for a ride up the road, and it was running great again
until i got about a half mile down the road... CEL
started sputtering and it stopped reving at 3 grand... limp mode :\
i pulled over and check the ECU code... this time a code 4
crankposition sensor aka whole new distributor
but when i started the car back up... it ran GREAT again...
i can't get it to happen by tugging any of the wires or tapping the distributor
it just happens random when it's driving
otherwise car runs goooooood
i don't know if i should indeed buy another distributor (kind of expensive)
or if the problem actually is somewhere else....
car will run fine... for however long... then throws that CEL
cold or hot.... even at idle it will throw it... and then start to misfire
if the crankposition sensor did go out, wouldn't it normally just stay broken?
i don't know why it just starts running normal again when i flick the key off then back on
any ideas?

I have a 1990 Acura Integra GS that I rebuilt. I put bigger cams and bored 30 over. Motor is new from top to bottom. Once I finally got the motor in and tryed running it it through code 4. Well I tryed 3 different distributors and still throwing code 4. I thought maybe my computer was bad so I bought a used one that has been checked and workes great. Still throwing code 4...???? I checked all wires and there fine. I still havn't fixed or found out how to fix it and I'm pretty damn pissed off b/c of it. Any help?????
