Default constant cel light

When I put my key in the ignition and the fuel pump primes the cel light comes on. Ive disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it still comes on when my key is in the ignition. It doesn't blink, its just a constant light. Any ideas?

its suposed to do that then it turns off after a second or two. or does your just stay on all the time? if that happens then you gota check the code on the ecu there will be a blinking red light count the blinks.

I just did a d15b vtec swap using the P28 ecu. My friend mentioned the timing light also. Can you tell me more about the timing light? I have one but have no idea how it works.

uh depends on which one u have but all u do is connect the power wires to the battery and then the one plastic thing goes on to the spark plug wire the first on the one next to the timing belt. Then start the car and go out side and push the button and aim it at the
crank pully make sure u can see the marks before u start there will be lll l that aim it at that. And try to get it in between the three marks i think not sure havent done mine in a while. u can move the mark by turning the dizzy little bit and u see it move.
