I already searched a bit and couldnt really come up with much. I live in Maine and theres snow on the ground and there have been a few instances when i have been trying to come to a stop and ended up just locking up the brakes and sliding. Shouldnt abs be kicking in? This is a 94 LS by the way. After this happened a few times i decided to test it out for sure on a snowy road. Went and slammed the brakes to lock up all the wheels and it would just slide. Any ways i can go about testing things etc? I am getting no codes by the way.

 

I know this may seem like a dumb question but are you sure you have ABS? Just asking cause I came across this kid who swore he had ABS on a car he bought, well we popped his hood and guess what, no ABS. Just making sure.

If you did, was it working before? Does your brake pedal feel mushy at all?

yes it does. I can see the ginormous abs unit in the engine bay

brake pedal feels solid.

 

Does the ABS light on the cluster illuminate when you start the car?

does it slide to a stop even when you brake normal? or just when you "slam" on them? how about on a dry surface, does the pedal pulsate when you hit them harder?

 

If I'm on ice the wheels will lock up pretty easily if i hit the brakes. On snow i'll slam them and just slide. I havnt really tried it on dry surface but i have applied the brakes somewhat hard and didnt feel the abs.

 

Yes the ABS should come on in that situation. In the snow storm we had yesterday the roads were very greasy, I was driving with a friend and saw many cars with the ABS kicking on when they were trying to stop. Your Integra SHOULD be no different.
