Default anyway to tell when a shock is blown? 95 gsr w/ agx's and gc springs

My suspension has always felt like crap since i bought the car, and my inspection dude said that my suspension needs replacing. Is there anyway i can tell if the springs are done, or the agxs? Thanks.

I doubt its your springs. Also Ground Controls (which use Eibach springs) come with a lifetime warranty.

The only way I know how to inspect the shocks are to see if they are leaking any fluid.

ur gonna have to pull out the shocks but when u do pull the piston all the way to the top if not already there if the piston falls back down automatically then then the shock is bad.

Acutally, it's the other way around; push the piston down. There should be alot of resistance. If the piston goes down and stays down, then you have a blown shock.

The AGX is not a good damper for the GC spring rates just so you know. You should really invest in a better damper for your higher spring rates such as koni or tokico.

well, my knowledge comes from the miata community in which case...they are.

I'd go tokico over koni in a miata but i dont know that much about the integra. Prolly would still prefer the tokico. The problem you're going to have is that I dont -think- the GC sleeves work on any shock, yours might be specific to KYBs so in that regard you may be stuck.

I'm not sure, you'll have to do a bit of your own research but either way if you stay KYB, get lighter spring rates. If you upgrade the damper, consider the fact that you may have to get new springs or maybe you can just buy a set of GC sleeves.

IMO, koni's are the way to go. I don't have any personal experience with tokiko's but do have koni's on my car for 3 years with no problems. I've put roughly 65K miles from FL to MA and have two track events with no problems.

They probably are more expensive than the tokiko's. Last time I checked they were selling for $500 shipped from the sponsor's on here. Also the good thing about Koni's are that they can handle a stiffer spring rate as well. I just picked up stiffer springs and will be installin them this weekend.

As Wayne_Curr mention, In your case though you might need to order a new perch for your GC if you get koni's due to the fact that they are different.
