I have never done this but have heard a debate over this but I did some research and the door skins are the same part number for various years CRXs. There was rumor that the doors were longer. I haven't put a tape on them myself but I highly doubt this is the case.
I would bet they would fit, but I do not know for sure.
Not sure if this helps.

The 90-91 doors are identical to the 89 doors. 88's are the ones with diffrent doors, but even than the 89-91 doors do fit and work. There are a couple brackets that just need to be changed around.

unless you have a 89hf or a Canadian crx then it should fit

Big difference you run into in swapping doors is the seatbelts being attatched to the door pillar or in the chassis of the car. I call them thick pillar/thin pillar doors as the later doors with belts attatched have a noticeably thicker "b-pillar". Doors can be swapped out both ways, put new doors on old car you get two sets of seatbelts, but old doors on newer car you get no seatbelts. What your wanting to do is a direct swap though. The only thing you need is a set of new door moldings for an 88-89 since the '90-91 doors will have a thinner molding. Heres a handy list for everyone

88-89 HF = thin pillar door with fat molding
90-91 HF = thick pillar door with thin molding
88-88 dx/si=thin pillar door with thick molding
89-89 dx/si=thick pillar door with thick molding
90-90 dx/si=thick pillar door with thin molding
