Default GTech-Pro

well i tried to search and nothing came up on it and i didn't know where else to post this, if it in the wrong area MODS feel free to move it.

i just wanted to see if anyone used it before and what they think/feel about it.
for those who haven't heard of it before here is a link.
http://www.gtechpro.com/prod.html

i used my friend's yesterday and got 147hp on top of 2nd , but i think it's wrong, i can't be making that much power for a B18a(non-vtec) with ITR piston and i/h/e( with a cel code 41) freahly built 2k miles so far.

LMK you what you think of this if it's right or not.

TIA_ Kase

They dont work worth crap. When I was using mine it would tell me I had 900hp if I let go of the gas and floored it again while testing. The only good thing it is usefull for is if you autocross and want to see how many G's you can pull around a corner.

thanks Dogginator that was a good read and find.

it's comes down to calibrate of the unit. i know it won't be 100% or nearly that accurate but if used right it would give you a basic idea of numbers range your car is in. with track time and dyno time.

so it's kool, but i don;t know about putting out 147hp on my motor...lol
let try some more testing and did hit the dyno, that would be better.

The Car & Driver article stressed that vehicle tilt due to the suspension really affects the results.

Just use your Wiimote for free to record G's

I have never heard of anyone who said "Yes my GTech was dead on accurate" (1/4 mile/WHP).
I have heard things from "it was pretty close" to "it was way off". All these users did thier best to calibrate the unit.

when dialed in correctly, it's an awesome tool. Mine is consistant, and off by 2whp. Which, it should be by alot more- dyno's dont factor in wind, rad conditions- etc.
