I live in nj where its cold as **** and rainy, etc. Anyway I was wiping down my car when I saw this brown lil swirl on the hood about the size of a quarter. Now it wasn't penetrating the paint I think but to me it looked like the Beginnings of RUST. I also have a swirl on my roof about the size of a silver dollar. I just want to confirm that this is the start of something bigger. My second question is will it survive this winter withoout eating my paint. I just need it to last till spring. I plan to respray the car. I have a 96 acc lx 4dr in White. Is there anything I can put on it to stop the spread if there will be any. Help people i love my car

 

do you really expect us to be able to help you without a picture?

if it is rust and its just surfice rust u should be able to sand it down and refinish it.

if its deeper you will have to cut it out and replace

 

well im at work and its raining outside. I don't think i'll be successful at taking a pic with a camera phone. i asked the question in this thread because someone has to know what im talking about .
