JDM ITR cams in a SiR b16a motor?...
I'm thinking about buying some jdm integra type-r cams, and was wondering if these will do a nice job in my b16. Motor is a 92 jdm b16a, with basic bolt ons. Are the cams worth the money and time?

Definately worth it. If you're doing it, though, probably the best cams to go for would be the B16B CTR or 00-01 USDM ITR or 98+ spec JDM ITR cams (all the same). They're bigger than the earlier ITR cams. Use some CTR or ITR valve springs, and maybe an ITR or CTR ECU. Done and done.

Did some research and they deff. look like Type-R cams...

Worth the money? And should I use a Gates timing belt or OEM Honda?

if u just basic put in a itr/ctr cam b16a stock
u can feel at least 10 more whp inside your motor
the valve spring no need to upgrade or change if u not rev up more then 8500 rpm its still safe to use
cause stock jdm p30 ecu was much rich A/F
daily drive was not a problem i done it b4 n 2 years in my stock b16a

sorry to highjack thread
but im in the same situation right now looking for either ctr or itr cams for my b16a2
question is, how hard is it just to change out the cams?? ofcourse you need to line up the lines on the cam gears etc
do you also need a tune too ?
thanks

i just bought some jdm itr cams too.but i also bought high compression CTR pistons and some more internal parts.i am planning to do the internal engine work this weekend.and i will post the pics and result
i was thinking of doing the same thing with my b16a2 and adding some ctr/itr cams. possibly more agressive aftermarket cams that i could use on stock springs. im want to gain like 10-15 whp and 5-10 ft/lbs-tq. any suggestions
