auto y8 intake mani

Default auto y8 intake mani

i got a motor and it has a y8 manifold on it but its an auto one and who ever had it before drilled the holes for the iacv on the back but both the holes are drilled straight through into the intake. is it going to idle and run fine like this?

It depends where you will put the iacv you either use the y7 with a 3 wire or convert to a 2 wire and use those holes but you need to post pictures of it

i need to run it on the back with a 2 wire iacv cause its going into a crx. i seen on some old post people said they just drilled the holes straight through but it was like here say i cant fine the write up. if you look on a regular intake one hole goes straight through and the other goes to the throttle body.

Ah ok well you can drill it i don't have any pics as i have a manual one on my car and i plugged the holes

It's easier to find a manual tranny manifold save yourself the headache

ya i dont need pics i was just wondering if this will idle and run ok like this. i got the manifold and motor for free i have other d sereis manifolds basicly im using the motor and manifold to put in a shell then sell it. so im trying to use all the junk parts i dont need. its allready in the car though just waiting on a dizzy then well find out.
