Ummm, yeah! Rules would be nice! Hmmm, do I need to get one race seat or
2, air/water I/C, Hans device, bigger slicks and wheels, smaller turbo, Is there
a Power Street a Turbo Street or a Sport FWD class...

Much to my amazement Nopi is trying to hold out until BOTI puts out there rules.

BOTI will be posting rules just after the first of the year.

 

from what i heard s/fwd will have the same rules as far as safety and turbo sizes go. they will roll in some different factors for the rest of the class. i think turbo4 is out.

but its just my .02

I was serious about building a car for this year, but without rules soon, I can't see making any of the 1st couple races.

 

come on nopi we need some rules for the 08 season

 

I heard most likely they will be out next week. Like Glenn said the NHRA tech staff is reviewing them. I know it is hard, but be patient. Shoot, I have a Hot Rod, a SFWD, and 2 other cars for classes that my customers will decide on after rules are released sitting in my shop right now. I understand the frustration but I am sure the rules wont be insanely different than the NHRA's 07 rules being that they are the sanctioning body and are the final rule reviewers. We are focusing on generic stuff like suspension and roll cages that we know will be the same. 1 to 1 1/2 weeks is not going to make a whole lot of difference and that still gives you time to order your turbos. Good luck to all and I hope to see you guys at the track.

there is no fact to that statement -- show me some proof and then you can throw statements like that out there, otherwise it is just hear say and will ultimately create BS drama and lies

 

I don't think they are waiting on BOTI. NOPI has sent the rulebook to the NHRA for final approval. BOTI hasn't released their's yet?

Been there, done that! We actually finished the intercooler piping, radiator hoses, and other items in my Pro4 car in the parking lot of the Dallas Motorplex earlier this year at the first event. The first time it moved under its own power was a little before we put it on the track just to make sure that everything was functioning properly. Two 16 second shakedown passes, a base line tune from Mr. Jason Hunt and we let her roll. She went 10.7 fourth pass down the strip.

 

At pri, the word was that is was going to be sometime in mid Jan.

 

I also heard that tom was going to take me out to dinner, any truth to this mr. sewell?

 

I's still like to see OUTLAW SFWD. Anything goes as long as the car has a license plate and headlights.
