Her car should have an F23A or F22B, so basically an H swap is easy as pie. The only issue is making sure it's all the correct OBD and making sure you can wedge it in there.

99 would be a V6 Odyssey - you sure you don't mean 1998???

If it's truly a 99 then it has a 3.5L V6 and the H22A idea is completely retarded, and your mom just watsed a lot of money.

If it's a 1998 with an F23A engine then she's on th right track, but depending on where you live emissions may prove to be a PITA as JDM H series engines lack key OBD2 equipmwnt and sensors required to keep it OBD2 legal and not throwing a handful of check engine codes.

Okay, so is this a joke then?

3.5L V6 = 240hp and gobs of torque

H22A - 195hp, a **** ton less torque, and IMPOSSIBLE TO SWAP INTO A V6 ODYSSEY.

Actually I say "impossible" but some ghetto fabbing with a welder and cutting torch could do wonders, but it will never run right - ever.

Your mom just wasted her money on that H22A. I am saying WASTED because I don't care how much money she makes - she bought an engine that cannot fit into her van, so I guess you may have an H22A to play with then, eh?

Okay.

Anyways so you'll either need to round up a B series transmission, axles, mounts, and an H2B adapter kit, or find yourself the rest of the H22A swap parts and mount kit, axles, etc. since a longblock isn't everything needed for a Civic swap.

I assumed since she can't use it in her Odyssey that you might want to use it in your car, which I gathered to be a 1992 Civic from your screen name. The "I'm going to use it" part kind of lead me towards my remarks about Civic swapping.

I've seen a H22 swap into the first run Odessy in a magazine before and it was kinda cool...
But what your mom wants to do is a bit impractical. She jumped the gun thinking it could easily transplanted into her V6 engine bay. IMO you should talk her out of it. Not trying to be an a$$hole BTW.

Talk ****?

I removed my entire post with the exception of "you failed awhile ago."

Tell me, which has more to do with the '92-'00 civic forum, your...I mean your mom's** odyssey, or a JDM H22 swap?

You're 19, married, and are trying to help your mom swap a faster engine into her minivan.

I think the picture's starting to become quite clear to me.

Is your wife also your sister by any chance? (I like to see completeness)
