Default Help on Throttle Body

i was wondering what size is the stock 1995 gsr throttle body. i was planning on picking up a 70mm skunk2 throttle body but wants to know what is stock specs. also will all gsr aftermarket intakes fit on the skunk2 intake manifold?

to answer your question, yes it will fit, the coupling on the intake manifold should take care of that.

i have a similar relationship i'm trying to fix, however, i'm a forced induction guy, but i believe the principles are the same. the stock gsr throttle body is 62-64mm (not sure). the skunk2's come in 60, 66, 68, and 70mm. the skunk2 intake manifold port is 64mm and can be port matched up to 75mm without interfering with the IACV port. i've been researching the best set up but here are the things that i got out of research so far:

1. port matching can be costly but would optimize air flow.
2. make sure your throttle body is smaller or the same size as your intake manifold port. if it is larger it promotes reversion of air flow at WOT.
3. skunk2 doesn't make a 64mm thottle body to make things easier .

some ppl say they lose mid-high range power when they install a new TB. my guess would be that this mod wasn't used in conjunction with a port match or larger intake manifold plenum.

my question is can your TB/IM port be too big? what i mean is, would a 66mm TB/IM port match be better for a street set up (all motor or FI), and a 70-75mm set up for a track car? any input?

stock gsr is 60mm. stock itr is 62mm. i can't see much reason to go over 64mm all motor.

i wouldn't bother with an itr intake manifold if you don't want to deal with having to mod it fit, plus its technically not angled properly for gsr intake runners anyway.

itr tb is a waste if you can do without you're stocker for a few days, get it bored 2 or 4mm at maxbore, any more than that is for boost imo.
