Default Just bought the new Edelbrock header under $300

Just ordered the new JG Edelbrock header for my GSR, found a place with rock bottom prices $297.13 for the 47522 model. I've never found anyone else close so i thought i would leave you the link. Just scroll down the left side to Edelbrock, then price list then exhaust.

Thing out performs the DC, Greddy and most the others. Very close copy of the Hytech design. Fitment is excellent, a few of the guys in the all motor forum had great things to say about this piece.

Will do, i'll measure the tubes too to see how close this thing really is to the Hytech. It's backordered but is supose to ship in 10 days. I'll post pics and we'll see how it all goes.

Summit Racing has mine showing it will be ready to ship on the 10th of this month. The sales rep said this part is backordered and their next lot will be in the 10th. Once it's here i'll have it on in a couple days and be posting at least 5 pics of the install and of the header itself. What i really should be doing is going to one of my buds shop who has a mustang dyno and do a before and after at the wheels dyno. My car is ideal for this since it has no other mods except a K&N. I usually have to butter this guy with at least a few bucks but it would be a stat really worth keeping on file here at honda-tech. The edelbrock people say 9whp, if i can pull it off we'll see if that's the case. By the way, i just noticed that you are in Vancouver, that's exactly where this dyno is. Tom Wong does a lot of GM stuff but he's pretty reasonable with his rates and is right there in Hazel Dell.

i got the ceramic coated steel one. It's cooler temp wise under the hood and as long as you don't scratch them, they last a long time without rust. Even scratched up the rust is only surface for quite awhile, the exhaust temp cycles that steel every time you drive it and 16ga steel is pretty thick as headers go. Those Hy-tech copies here on the forum look like the sweet deal in stainless. I just bought the Edelbrock for a couple reasons. One, i wanted ceramic coating, two, I love the company and the quality of their products, three, the tests of this header show it being one of the best HP wise and also to have zero fitment problems. For $297 i figured i could order a DC which this one out performs, a Hy-tech replica for a couple bucks more but it's 18ga and stainless with no coating, coated stainless would rock but i doubt i will keep the car long enough to need it. Last you have Greddy and their stainless. Greddy usually makes wonderful products quality wise, i just couldn't find anything on how good the header was power wise.

this thread is borderline inappropriate for it being in the TECH forum. so chill out dude. i really dont see a point to this thread either. if he posted this after he got the header and showed some comparisons then from a technical standpoint its much more appropriate.

Let's all play nice here, this thread does need to go back to a technical standpoint and it will once the product arrives.

I would give them a call with a part #. i know they have a 2pc stainless header but it was a good deal more money. I also have no idea how it stacks up against the Hytech or Rage since you are moving into their price catagory.
