Well about 2 months ago I got my camber kit installed, an car aligned... Since than everythings been great.. Well last night I was driving my car and kept feeling this faint clicking on my steering wheel... So it was so late and i was so exhausted I just assed out and left the fun stuff for today...
So i go outside this morning and figure i'll check my wheels first make sure its not wheel bearing or anything like that... Start off with passenger wheel, BLAM FOUND PROBLEM..!!! So i grab my wheel at 9 and 3o'clock an give it a shimmy, sounds like the damn things gonna fall off... So i get my lug wrench, to my suprise all the nuts are tight as ****.. So I take off the wheel and the problem couldn't of hit me anymore right in the face than to see what I saw...

So I come inside and called my homeboy who owns a shop an let him kno what happened.. Well little to my suprise this is like the 10th issue he said he's heard where this has happened and in a lot of cases people got really hurt... Doesn't take much of a scientist to figure out how... Well yeah, so as you can see my upper ball joint on the camber kit is being held on by 2 rotations of the ONLY ONE BOLT REMAINING..!!! I undid the connecting arm from hub to uca, an the ball joint was just like dangling free... So i went to hardware store and found some of the same exact bolts Skunk2 used initially, but in black not chrome.. Got some lock washers, loc-tite, and a pepsi "its hot out".... So get back home an get to working on my masterpeice lol.. So I loc-tite all the threads "what I was told to do by many already this morning" and repositioned the bolts and ball joint to the spec's it was at before this all went downhill... The imprints of where the bolts were the first time are still visible so i just lined up the ball joint and bolted that **** in with all my force, 2 lock washers, and some loc-tite... So while letting the loc-tite do its thing, I check the drivers side an guess what??? THAT ***** ABOUT TO COME OFF TOO..!!! Only all the bolts were loose except one, so I didnt lose anything YET on this side... I dethreaded those bolts an loc-tite'd them nice an tightened them bitches down gangster style... So I just took my car for a ride, alignment is great, no noises, clicks, clacks, smicks, smacks, ect...

The finished product.. ^^^^^
Well i've learned a lot today, even when going with a name you can trust **** still can go bad lol... I'm not actually to suprised to hear that this has happened to others though, just a little word of advice though... I'd loc-tite my camber kit from now if I were you... Just to be on safe side... And use medium not the heavy duty **** just incase you have to get re-aligned...
Well that's my day after x-mas, hope your guys is as fun as mine haha... Now it's time to get on COD4 on the 360 an do some No0b OwNinG since I almost got owned myself today haha...!!

Thanks dude...
I've been lookin an researchin some more an damn, I found out that people have died because of similar cases like this, and some in less serious situations... I'm really suprised Skunk2 doesnt pay attention to an issue like this.. All they say is "professional installation required" but what does that mean, i'm supposed to have to check my camber kit every week for malfunctions an have it serviced? sike.... I didnt pay 3 bills to have a headache, inconvienance, or even die, I paid to keep my betsy goin straight lol...

That's what you get for going skunk2, tool.
I have yet to have nor see a good experience with one of their products.
Their shifters suck, buy B&M, their intake manifolds decrease power, buy edelbrock, their throttle bodies jam up (butterfly doesn't have enough clearance), buy OEM, their cam gears slipped and broke on my friend and ruined his head, buy AEM, and now this camber ****.
Skunk2 failed awhile ago.

Skunk2's a joke, I've never seen one of their products be "good" besides their strut tower bars (and it's kind of hard to expletive that up). I wouldn't trust their crap underneath my *** doing 80mph on the highway.

Not to start trouble but skunk2 is a good company, most of their products are great , their intake manifolds do make good power on the right set up, and they produce some of the best camshafts available. Not every manufacture can be perfect.

And if im correct, you had an alignment after installation? That means someone adjusted the camber? That means that those bolts were loosened and retightened? Quite possibly not tightened to spec? Cant blame a company for a possible faulty install. The pictures arent great, but I dont see any component malfunction. The bolts simply loosened and fell out.

Yup I had Sears Auto align my car after I had the kit installed, so I guess I should hold them accountable.. Like i said i dont drive a lot, and i definitely dont drive aggressive enough for this kinda malfunction to occur by something i did...

naa dude, straight *** road with just minor dips here and there but nothing of a sudden impact nature, ever... i keep a good eye out for potholes, i kinda developed that attitude at my last job a couple years ago in construction driving through rough terrain, i pay attention to the road a lot more than most peeps..

Yeah you got me... I'm a tool for going with a company that's been in the game for quite a while and has far overdrawn more positive attention than negative... And due to the fact that I had nothing to do with this situation occuring, I think it's fair to say that the last person to handle my suspension can clearly be held accountable, but I'm not in the mood to start an argument with sears over something that's been fixed already... If something bad would have happened, than yes most definitely would be droppin bombs.... So yeah, dont talk **** dude, go fix ur "whirring" problem instead of bringin ur negativeness in here... B&M <~~ that was ur almighty comeback to skunk2.... Suprised u didnt say obx or buddy club or something haha...

I would have to agree! IMO Skunk2 is a great company and has come along way. All of the parts that I have gotten from Skunk2 I have been completly satisfied with. Every company has those one times, when something or other has failed.
IMO I have never been a fan of any of the camber kits. None of my civic's ever had a camber kit.

do you think its the qaulity of the product, or the person that did the alignment forget to tighten the bolts. i have had skunk 2 uca on my car for a year now and never had a problem yet.

Crower makes better cams, so does Bisimoto when it comes to SOHC's. I've seen in person, two different intake manifolds lower power, a lot.
Skunk2 IM's are good if you have I/H/E - and are looking to take the next step, but don't wanna go internal.
Though even then, I'd go for an Edelbrock, they've only been producing IM's for about 60 years longer than skunk2.
I guess I can't really say they're ALL bad, but I just haven't seen one where A) It's not outdone by a competitor for relatively the same price, or B) They're crap.
I've had too many problems with their manifolds and throttle bodies to recommend them to anybody, and their cam gears ripped up my friend's head.
It really depends on the part as to whether I'd buy from them or not.
