good idea. ive been told by some people that they have theirs setup pulling the lca forward and others have told me that they have theirs setup pushing the lca back...

first off i think the easier question is who isn't running a traction bar??
secondly it all should be done on an alignment machine to get best results castor positive or negative will give you different results in traction and drivability at high speeds....so ya one guy might say he pulls his in but what is his alignment is what really matters.

we setup ours to put the LCA is the stock Position, of course adjusted with load on the suspension. then have it aligned

That would be me. No Traction Bar, No LSD, No Drag launch springs, Stock OEM mounts w/ ES inserts, 22 inch slicks on 15 wheels 1.7x best 60 foots.
I have no wheel hop problems therefore I have not purchased a traction bar yet.

most likely because they dont know what they are trying to achieve by installing the traction bar. and what happens with the adjustments (push or pull on the LCA)
any adjustments of the traction bar should be done with neccessary equipement.
here is a litte tid bit of informations, before anyone goes out thinking wrong. There are other methods of altering the caster alignment on a vehicle, but since soo many people use traction bars, they should know how to properly set them up.

* positive caster is like the forks on a chopper
* No car that I know of uses negative caster
* Caster will not affect tire wear, but it can cause a slight drift if it's not equal on both sides.
* The more positive caster is, the more stable the car feels, especially at higher speed
* More positive caster also improves steering wheel return[/B].
* The reason positive caster adds stability, steering wheel return and increased steering effort is the weight of the car is trying to straighten the wheels

Traction bars are worth the money, if set up right. anything that makes alot of power, the suspension will walk foreward under load. An EF kinda has a stock traction bar, and if you put in the urethane inserts, they help alot. On mine though we made it adjustable with different heights on the front bar kinda like a ladder bar, we;ll play more with it this season
