i got the tokico shocks with coils and handles great, others will tell you skunk2 but ive heard bad things about sk2 as well, they all have there ups and downs, ive had a friend spend $800 on skunk2 susp and told me it was worser than coils, and very rough, so spend moeny on teins if your going to spend over $600

ya at first i had the tokico shocks and spring set, but i wanted to go lower so i got coilovers but kept tokico shocks they rode nicely and smooth but the drop isnt that low, see i like to slam my rides haha but ya that tokico hp set is good, but what i keep hearing here on H-t is that the ground control coilovers with koni yellow shocks are a great combo

I had tokico blues and they were alright. I'd choose skunk2 because I have heard good things about their suspension parts and they are becoming quite reputable. Oh I almost forgot, one of my Tokico blues did blow out

And just for the record, I have Tein Basics and love them. They ride great and look good. Tein FTW!

tokico blue package here too. don't cut the springs anymore or buy stiffer ones if you want a long life. for the $350 shipped you can't beat it though.

i have tokico blues as my rear shocks right now, and for as slammed as my car is they just don't handle and absorb the bumps as well as my kyb agx. for cost effective shocks i really do recommend kyb agx.. other than that, the most highly praised setup i've heard on hear is the koni yellows w/ ground control..i've never heard anyone diss that setup.

i hear good things about the tokico illuminas (white) alot though. they are a little more $$ than the tokico hp, but suspension is one thing you don't wanna take short cuts/cheap out on..

as for s2 suspension, im not too familiar w/ it. i assume they are good quality being that skunk 2 is a very reputable company.

The hp's are a little lose as stated above, on a wavy road or uneven surfaces you'll have some pretty good transitions with the HP kit. Where people start to cuss at the kit is on fairly smooth pavement when more feedback is desired, that and this kit would suck at autocross where slower speeds and sharp cranking turns are the name of the game. If you drive the HP's hard you will definately want to practice your turn-in on where ever you drive fast. A few years back i had this late 80's 5.0 mustang that was my redneck rally car. Koni yellows and 800lb/500lb springs. This car would skip on uneven surfaces, skip as in the tires didn't always stay connected. Using a higher end shock can improve feel, just be careful with the springs and pick something suited for where you drive. Race rate springs inspire confidence with the improved feel but can get scary on roads you are driving for the first time when things jump out of nowhere. More than one of those Ferrari Enzos you see wrecked usually have some story about the car lifting off from some wave in the road and a driver that felt great with such a responsive car when the road was smooth.
