The search function is an amazing feature. It has years of knowledge built up.

Just 5 threads under yours, is this gem also.

the 60 trim will perform almost exactly the same as a the 57 trim. It will spool slower but it will be unnoticeable.

im using it on my ls-t, for 300hp i wish i went with a smaller turbo
for less lag and a better powerband.

Lambertincorp you should be making about 300whp at 10PSI with your set up... remember what i told you before... you now have things internally that i didnt have before and i made 292whp on a barely broke-in b16 at 12lbs... cmon man relaxxxx... lol

is the engine built or stock?? If it is a stock block setup, there are better turbos around....

if he is just going for 300 he should go smaller, but if he has a built motor or wants room to grow its not a bad choice....

i jumped on the bigger turbo bandwagon for no good reason

see the times in my sig...the 12.2 was a garrett 60 trim with .63 a/r..the 12.5 was a turbonetics 57 trim with .63 a/r. same motor, some boost, same slicks on the same track. the faster of the 2 was a peakboost kit, the slower a drag gen III kit

That turbo will make 450-470whp on race gas, but will be able to hit 400-420whp on pump depending on fuel grade

I've broken 470 whp on two different engines with two different turbos, both .60 trim stage 5 turbine w/ .63 AR housing units. Racegas + crank the boost until the power stops coming, somewhere in the 24-30 psi range is typical for 1.8 to 2.0 B-VTECs. I wouldn't even bother with the smaller stage 3 turbine wheel.

If you want to spray some nitrous on top of that to make life interesting expect the turbine to choke flow around 600 whp.

PS - .57 trim is baqsically the same thing, don't be all aggro when you don't know.

True...the Stage 3 turbine would be WELL out of its efficiency and nearly useless at that point

I don't think it's a WOW thing; hippy girls have been using it here in A-town for at least a decade.
