Default Merry Christmas, Audio/Security/Video

Merry Christmas all.

What was under your tree this morning?

Santa brought me some DVD's (Bourne FTW), a piston ring compressor, and all of the gaskets, seals & belts to put my engine back together.

It's also Rory's first Christmas, so that's a plus. She's five months already, so she's at the phase where she's grabbing everything... It's fun watching her "open" her presents!!

Have a cool yule everyone.

We don't get to open our presents till tonight, I am hoping for some stuff for my LS engine, one box may just be the pistons I want, another is big, and heavy, enough to be a turbo. although my nephew has a warped sense of humor. 94

Those are money pits. I sunk $2500 into my savage before I got tired of fixing the damn thing everytime I took it out.

Happy holidays. Stay safe for new years. I'm off to New York to ring the new year in

Santa also stopped by my Grandparent's house, as well as my parents. Got some additional cash, and now I'm shopping for pistons.

As I figured my nephew had a brick in the box, but it did come with a $1000 G/C from Honeywell, Kaaaaa-ching, also got JE pistons, Pauter rods and Total Seal ring set, [I think they must be "balanced" as boxes are numbered 1-4], my sister said see called JE told them what I had and what I wanted to do, and they said they would put together a "kit", however there was no info at all, other then part numbers for recommended APR head bolts and Cometic head gasket 94

You can have my sister.
Didn't surprise me an awful lot, both of them owe me huge coin, I expect this will be a form of "extensions" on their "loans"
Not that I didn't do a lot of hinting to both of them about what I "needed" for xmas.
Probably didn't hurt that may sister wants my winter beater, [mint, from an old couple, 89 Chrysler Dynasty with 200K on it] I picked up for $500 CDN.

I can't believe how my luck is going this last month, it's started crummy, when I started pulling the teg apart for the paint job, got hit by a woman in a jeep YJ back in 95, scraped up the drivers side, but looked good after the body shop, boy are they good at hiding shitty work.

Decided I needed to take the car off the road for the winter to do a proper job, so I needed a car, this is where the luck starts to change, I figure $2000 would get me a good winter beater that I could keep for winter driving, so I ask my boss about his buddy the used car salesman, he calls, but he had no Honda/Acuras on the lot, but he did have a "nice clean" Dynasty, I really was not interested but I went to his lot to see what he did have and he insisted on showing me the Dynasty, it was clean alright, so I ask him how much, well it turns out my boss had not told him I was looking to spend about $2000, he said $500, I near chit my pants, I picked it up on the spot, I don't think anybody has ever sat in the back seat, so far the only thing I have found wrong with it is 2 loose fake wood-grain trim pieces inside, and it needs a new rad, Luck is with me on that one also, the rad shop that is building my custom rad and the inter-cooler is going to give me a new one, FREE as the stock one is all brass/copper and repairable, they will swap me.
One of the body shops we service A/C for will pain my car for FREE, if the can put their name on the car, I got a sponsor for next years autocross season
As good as that is, it gets better, I don't have to drive around town with MARK V auto body on the sides of my car, they will supply magnetic signs.
Santa has been VERY good to me this year. .94

Nice, man. Good Christmas for me, too. Was expecting a couple of hundred dollar bonus, but was very pleasantly surprise to see a check for six. Promptly ordered my turbo, and had some $$ left in the paypal account, so I ordered my Eagle rods, too.
