Default 1990 Civic EX (D16) Distributor. Hall Effect, or Variable Reluctance (VR)?

I am trying to learn about my cars stock distributor for an aftermarket engine management project. From what I have gathered, there are three sensors in it. One counting a 24 tooth wheel, a 4 tooth wheel, and a single tooth wheel. Are the sensors counting these teeth Hall Effect, or VR sensors? Thanks in advance!
