Default Buddy Club Spec 4 cams

I installed my buddy club valvetrain setup, and their .5mm headgasket yesterday along with Spec 4 cams into my B18Cwhich contains P30 pistons.

Well i did every thing the way it suppose to be, i brought the crank to TDC and the Cams to TDC (using the Buddy Club cam Gears) installed the timing belt and everything else. turned the engine by hand a few times to see if there was any contact.

We started her up and it wouldnt hold idle at all..... I figured i would adjust the mixture at idle since i have the Hondata S300. I tried revving it few times and didnt hear any metalic sounds or any detonation.

I fixed the idle as best as i could but the car still is a little lumpy, but i know i need it tuned. just wanted to get it idle and running.

Anyway i was driving on my way to work and got to around 3000 RPM, and accelerated a little just to bring it into VTEC. when i did and continued pass i heard a slight metallic ringing so i cam off immediately. I heard that sound b4 when i had my D15b vtec and i had the cam timing out.

Do these cams have clearence issues in a B18C Block with P30 pistons????
Dont the Buddy Club Gears line up at TDC when the crank is at TDC ?
I have both gears set at 0.

I think my timing has to be out some what my Distributor isnt as centered as it usually is, it is in a slightly retarded position but with the timing light is it still saying 16.

any suggestions?

With a setup like that, you really should have clayed the engine to find out if there are any clearance issues.

Revving the engine a few times on the low cam tells you nothing.

Other than that, I can't really offer any advice.
