itbs or built b18c
ok ive got $4000 to spend on my b18c teg r engine , would you spend the money on itbs or buildin the b18c .
what would be the best bang for buck.
also this is for track use , it will be used on the roads but not alot.

build the engine you should be able to get nice pistons rods port the head get valvetrain and some nice cams for that money and maybe a nice header. you would also get more bang for the buck when it came to power vs money spent than on a set of itb's
i was thinkin the same , the itbs do look nice but its alot of money for not much gain .
im just going to start searching at what would be the best set up for my needs .
ive done the handling mods so i thought it was about time i set about the engine & managment

Are there any rules in the class you'll be tracking with?
What exactly do you mean by track anyway?
Dollar for dollar you'll get more power out of building the motor then some ITBs
any other work already done on the motor?

think about this for a sec. I'm going to lay it out for you then im going to close this thread because its a common sense answer.
1) ITB's on a stock motor...ok, it looks cool but your not gonna get much out of them.
2) built motor power severely outweighs the amount of power you can gain with a set of ITB's.
use your head.
