1. because mugen hasnt gotten as bad yet.
2. every car at the shows or in the magazines has some spoon parts on it.
3. spoon was mentioned in the fast and furious
4. because people who dont even know what spoon is about want spoon parts just because theyve heard the name

1- 'cause most Spoon parts are gimmicks, don't make real power, take for example the Venturi/Ventulli plate or even their ECUs expensive as hell but no effect on real power
2- they a dream of every riceboy ever since the FF came out
3- yellow causes an aggressive behaviour in many
4- what kind of name is Spoon especially for tuner auto parts
5- they don't make anything themelves (most products are outsourced)

Mugen is not flamed because honda partly owns it, their goods go through much more R&D, hard for many ricers to pronunce it (also Hector isn't familiar with it), its not sold at Pep boys or inline four in great numbers

spoon tuned motor = honda motor with twice as much on a price tag
mugen tuned motor = F1 heritage

And i dont thinl people are getting flamed for what parts they have on there cars. But most are getting flamed for being posers and not putting those race bred parts to use... "CARPET MUNCHERS y0"

I just hate the people that try to clown people for buying knock off parts like Rota's or fake Spoon/visoin style mirrors(etc,etc,blahblah)... This kid I met, told me that buying those mirrors was the biggest waste of money he ever dropped on his car. And alot of people complain about how shitty those mirrors are.(the real spoon/vision, not the knockoffs).

Im not one big on the fashion side of the game, so as long as the parts can get the job done then im all for it. unless its a part for the motor. that where i wont half step.

If cam breaks, alot of other **** can get jacked aswell... If i smack the hell out of a rim like a Rota(not shitstream by the way)thats only 100 bucks down the drain. maybe a busted shock or axle. still cheaper then rebuilding a motor.

But peeps have the right to do what they like, but i just dont like posers with high price parts that dont use them and try to flame peeps with less exspensive parts.

How do you know what they do outside of the car show? Exactly.

a perfect example of this is the people that flame the quicktec cars for being all show. Those guys show up to the drag strip and tear **** up. I was impressed when I heard the times those guys were throwing down.

What's the difference between any Rota? They are all knockoff's. I don't get how everyone hates the slipstreams, but will be down with the C8's or sub-zero's.

I'm not bashing you GONG SHOW, I agree with about 95% of what you say. But I'm just wondering what makes slipstream so bad compared to the C8, because you are not the only person that shares this view.

Nothing is every good enough for any of you people is it? Rice wasnt good enough, jdm isnt good enough, spoon isnt good enough, mugen isnt good enough....

will there ever be a point that you guys can all stop fighting about PARTS!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone should be bitching it should be the president of Spoon and Mugen and how the united states turned their image into the equivelant of APC or Arospeed.

Buy what YOU want. Let everyone else buy that THEY want and S T F U!!!

Because most of the time I'll ask the cocky bastards... At the Import Expo i asked like 3 or 4 owners what they did with there cars... And most of them dont it go to the drag strip... Thats how i know, as for everybody else on here i cant answer for them...

The only reason i dont like the slips is this reason... out of all the other makes from Rota, side by side comparison they look really bad next to the Spoon/Evo's... To tell you the truth, I would really love to have a set of gunmetal evo's or bronze MF8's(really wnat some RnR's). But since Im not doing track events every weekend i'll just settle for this low budget cosmetic parts like rota's...

Also SSR Competitions in gunmetal.

Plus I only have one car, and i dont want to be worried about coming out of the mall and seeing my car sitting on bricks. But out of all the Rota's, the slipstreams was the only one that i really didnt like after comparing the two. I dont dislike them because they look like spoons, that would defeat the whole purpose of me liking rota's...

and remeber,this is JMHO.

Also, if i had these True "JDM/race bred" rims, i dont think i would roll them everyday anyway...

(oh yeah..this is all out of my ***)
i guess u see more spoon stuff..becuz the "style"(sorry gay term)..is easier to emulate...take for example a spoon ek..u got the vision mirrors, cf lip, duckbill, cd hood, and sw's...thats that appearance wise..u got a spoon car right there..maybe cuz a mugen ek would have mugen body parts...mugen rims which would be harder to acquire... etc etc..**** thats harder to acquire..if u think about it..these days spoon **** is no where near hard to come by..but how many of the shops out here in the states r carrying just as much mugen as spoon? hardly any.

from what ive learned, mugen puts more time into R&D over all then spoon does..theres mugen compact race cars..mugen panoz...jordan mugen f1..etc etc..they r just a broader company..not knockin spoon at all..they damn well know their **** too..but i wonder sometimes what would rip harder on the circuit..a civic fully built to spec by spoon...or a civic fully built to spec by mugen?
