Default hatch open light?

i went and test drove a 01 gsr today and when going over a bump the open hatch light would light up. any idea what would cause this? it doesn't stay lit up the whole time so im thinking its just a sensor or something.

thanks

You're 100% positive the hatch is shut?

It could have been in an accident and the hatch could be bent.

yeah pretty sure the hatch was shut. if it was in an accident and the hatch was bent, how would i go about fixing that? and what is the probability of it just being a sensor?

As others have stated, the hatch can sometimes appear shut but not be completely secured, resulting in a flickering light over bumps.

from the prices i'm seeing off of KBB, $6900 when it comes with some coils and a exhaust seems good.

Excellent
$8,175

Good
$7,510

Fair
$6,675

ewww VW's. well actually it's probably better than nothing, cause my bros car is gonna be my first car haha. i don't see where people get all this knowledge on cars from.. it's soo complex and confusing. i've been reading these forums for the past 2 weeks, but barely picked anything up.

i mean there has to be a time where people on here that have the most knowledge about cars, once knew nothing about them, i don't see where they learned all their information from. damn am i way off topic.

good luck on the car show some pix~!
