valve spring question
im looking at this spring and retainer kit from compcams
and all it says is DOHC 1.6 and 1.8L honda motors
so are all valve springs in the dohc heads the same

No, they aren't all the same, but the kit will fit all the DOHC VTEC B-series engines.
