Default my 1st EK retro (tons of pics)

well ive decided i wanted retro'd headlights...but i couldnt afford the cost of having it done

1st i start off with stock 99/00 Si headlights

then they were baked at 200 for about 10-15minutes then the outcome was this

then i got these hella projectors and d2s bulbs from a member on here (topdog)

i checked out there cutoffs in the garage with no shrouds (they were not made yet)

here it is at about 5ft

and around 7-8ft

and again around 25-30ft

now keep in mind that is only one projector w. no shroud

i called my buddy (colinproctor on here) over to help w. the shrouds being as he has more patience than i do, and after a few hours of work we have them mocked up and ready to be finished

they started as this

and became this

that is pretty much all i have completed on this project, i have mocked up a location i would like to mount onto the reflector, but not sure if it will work

maybe someone can point me in a good direction as to what i could add to the current shroud to finish it off in the housing, i dont want to have the rear of the projector visible, but i cant find anything to finish it off

please any help/suggestions/guidance or anything is appreciated and thank you in advance

I'd paint the piping part of shroud and leave the ring polished.
What color is your car?

Looking good so far

You need to post the updates in this thread.

And for a shroud, it looks like a metal funnel would work well:

Not sure where that image came from.

But yeah, with a shroud like something made from the funnel, your pipe piece around the projector isn't really all that necessary. I'm using the same projectors and I didn't put any covering around the projector. Neither do the cars that come with those projectors as stock. You just need a shroud around the lens to keep the reflected light inside the headlight housing.
