Default DC dash in EG

Now I know that there is alot of threads and diy on this, But I have a few question on this. I have done searching also please be nice when responding

Thanks

When this dash is installed is there really a gap between the lower A-pillar and the dash?

Do the door pannel really not fit? and if so Is there a simple way to make the door pannel fit?

I love the way it looks on the pics but I also want it to look good in person. I am very particulas about my cars and don't want to be looking at something that looks like a "hack job" if you know what I mean.

I know there are other questions I have but I will post them as this goes on.
Thanks

if you do this you have to do some cutting where dash meets door panel, 1. heat and pull out the covers 2. cut door panel to shape 3. fold over and glue with fabric glue. Take time to do it, and it will come out pro. Mines is crappy and will redo when i get some new panels...

Yes the door panels don't fit but in the DIY's it states that you can heat the door panels up and they will mold to the dash when you close the door, but my friend cut his door panels for his DC2 dash to fit.

Yes, it looks good in person, and doesn't look like a "hack job."

I think that you have to cut some of the metal near the firewall to get it to fit properly.

All these questions are answered in those other DIYs dude. But yeah, there is a gap and the door panels of course don't fit right. I have this mod in my car (was that way when I bought it) and I hate it. I'd remove it if I could, but it's crammed in behind my cage.

It's been done, it looks like *** imo.

If you can stand having interior panels not match up, then go for it. Personally, the gap would drive me insane.
