Default Yeah so I hit a curb at 15 mph

I forgot that I had turned off traction control 20 minutes earlier and made a right turn when the road was wet. Doh!

By the time I went to correct this terribly-frightening fishtail, the car was out of control and the nose was headed toward the curb of the sidewalk. The right front tire hit the curb first and then the left front. The car's nose went completely up on the sidewalk.

Thank god this was at 3 AM in the rain when no one was out.

I was expecting a blown out tire, possible rim damage and possible fender damage. The car seemingly received little to no damage but I wont know until I lift the car and check the alignment which is for sure out of whack.

Other than the frightening scare, I will take this as a $60 lesson. Don't leave traction control turned off for extended periods of time!

Who needs traction control? That's for people who don't know how to drive.

Tranction control is pretty gay. If you learned how to drive your car without it you would have never hit that curb. I wish the ap1's didnt come with ABS this is my first car with ABS and Im not too fond of it.

ABS = faster stopping usually. You shouldn't be using ABS when you're driving hard anyway. If you know how to brake, you threshold brake at the track. The wheels never lose traction, so ABS never comes on. It's there when you need it...not there when you dont.

I drove it today and felt a slight vibration about 50% of the time.
(I only drove it around for 5 minutes.)

The vibration is very light. Im not sure, it could have been my imagination or that the road was bumpy.

I'm going to take it to the dealer on Wednesday.

Hopefully it was either my imagination or at the worst, a ruined tire.

Going to drive now to my parents house, about 25 minutes on the highway. I will know for sure then.

(Sorry about not being perfect all the time like some of you.)

I know all of this sir. And I completely agree. I just dont like the way my break pedel feels on the rare occasions that the ABS is working. I guess I gota get used to it.

I don't know why people are even wasting their time bashing traction control anyway!

Traction control COULD_NOT have prevented this from happening. It's for limiting wheelspin when accelerating. Thats IT!

Traction control helps tremedously to stop a car from fishtailing. He said he ACCELERATED too fast and he spun out. If you accelerate too fast, your wheels spin, causing your car to slide out. Traction control wont let the wheels break traction...so you have a far smaller chance of actually spinning out. Try sliding a car around that has traction control.

If you brake while driving hard you are just asking for bad things to happen.
