Default 2000 Accord stock CD Changer malfunctioning

The stock 6 disc CD changer in my girlfriends car isn't working.

I've done some searching via google and this site, to no avail.

When you try and select the CD changer from the dash radio, it displays "--X" or "--H" (I can't tell if its trying to show an X or an H).

Anyway, the CD Changer appears to have lost power or something - it won't eject the CD tray or anything.

Any ideas?

In-dash or trunk-mounted? And of course, check the connections. You can view the installation instructions from this page:

Don't put too much money into fixing it or replacing it though, CD changers are obsolete. You can buy a great aftermarket radio in the $150 range that would fit in that car like a glove and play .mp3s, .wmas, and .aacs (non DRM). The radio I have in my Camry has a USB port in front, I normally just pop in flash drives though I've also used a portable hard drive (the one I have is 40 GB, you can buy 100 GB to 200 GB quite easily). That being said, I have a trunk mounted CD changer in my '99 Accord, I've had it for over nine years. As long as it works I'll keep it...
