Default B-Series Tanny

I have a dumb question, is there a 6-speed trans that will bolt up to a b-16

I haven't heard of any. Just curious why do you want a 6speed?

There's no advantage practically for having 6 speed.

If you thought you could use a k-series trans with a special adapter plate, you'd be wrong. The k20 rotates the opposite direction of a regular engine. So with a b-series you'd have 6 reverse gears and one straight without a synchro.

Either get a b16/ITR tranny or build your own custom transmission.

ANY custom transmission should be exponentially better than any Honda OEM gearing. Even that of the k20-s.

It does feel that way to me to. Tearing down the freeway at 5 grand doesn't seem right, and 4 grand @ 75mph isn't so great either.

You don't need to go faster than 120 (really even 100) on narrow *** economy car tires.

If someone flashed you a picture of how narrow your tires are while you were going 130 you would immediately slow down and rethink high speed travel.

i dont exactly think 17x8in rims will hold narrow economy tires. plus my car has had the entire suspension reworked, swaybars, coilovers, pretty much you name it, its been done to the susp.

Are you trapping over 120mph? If you were you wouldn't be asking this question.

if you really had all that suspension work done and did it yourself, i don't think you'd be asking this question.

What is trapping? And I dont care how much susp. work is done to a vehicle, it has nothing to do with how tall or short the gears are, final drive ratio, or wether or not you wind out at 60 or 160. All the susp. was done for handeling puposes, not for trying to find more top end speed. I come to this import thing to get away from building mustangs and do something different.

You do realize by putting +2size tires over stock you effectively lowered your final drive, correct?

Oh, and throwing words out that you read somewhere doesn't make you sound cool nor experienced.

Yes, there is. Do you have $18k?

First off Im not throwing words out there I read some where, Obviously you do, otherwise youd realize some people do actually know **** about cars. Ill bet you Ive build more mustangs tan cars you have or will ever own, so dont tell me i dont know what im talking about, I may not know what some of you call stuff but I know a good bit. And no Im not trapping because this isnt a drag car.
