Hey whats up? I was talking with a guy today and he said he had put a Type R motor in an 89 crx and used the same d series transmission? I have never heard of this and I disagreed, but he swears he didn't change the tranny just the clutch and flywheel. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for the help!

 

Wont work and if it did the which it wont the Pressure plate from a B series wont fit into a D series tranny case

Actually b2d conversions have been done before. You need a special adapter plate and a custom flywheel or flywheel spacer.

Pretty much most honda transmissions can be used on most honda engines via a custom adapter plate and either a custom flywheel or a flywheel spacer/shim.

I put a b20 head on an h22 block. No one believes me.

Ya well my B16a has a D16Z6 Head major compression plus a H22 Intake manifold and K20 Headers it runs hella fast HAHAHA Lock this dam thing lol but the custom plates have been made but its way too much work lol
