I have a 98 accord LX, that has been acting up. The check engine light comes on every now and then, and the code was PO740......i took it to the guy who rebuilt my tranny and he told me that i need to change the lockup control solenoid. Basically what happens is that when I am at a red light, my car will just jerk a few times, and the longer its sitting idle, the more it will jerk. As of late the car stumbles and jerks while I drive, especially when I take my foot off the gas and push it down again, it will stumble and hesitate for a few seconds then it will regain power. I am not sure what to do at this point, because I dont wanna spend a few hundred bucks on the solenoid when that's not even the problem. I was thinking theres a misfire, but I'm not sure....if anyone can help I would really appreciate it, because I'm scared to drive my car in fear of something bad happening....
