ok here is my current setup. AEM CAI, DC JDM 4-1 header, carsound cat and Greddy Evo exhaust. now here is the dilemma, the Evo is loud as hell with this setup so i decided to sell it and get an Apexi WS to quiet things down. now after doing some research it looks like i should keep the Evo and get a bigger resonator put on to control the sound but how much HP would i really be losing by going to the WS? if i could find an oldstyle RSR or comptech i would get it. anyone selling em?

With just bolt-ons, you will lose little if any power. So, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Get the WS and you'll be really happy with a much quieter car.

 

the exhaust is what is holding you back in this instance. Get 2.5" piping throughout. Do a search for SMSP exhaust's, they are relatively quiet (magnaflow) and flow better than that Greddy.

 

Know whats funny about the greddy evo. exhaust? When I was replacing my cat I noticed that the opening at the cat is only 2.25 inches. then the next pipe down about 3 feet the openging is 2.5 inches. Dosent this defeat the purpose of a 2.5 inch exhaust? Goes from stock 2.25 inch to 2.5?

Slap my one the hand if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure cause I bought new ghaskets and I could only find 2.5 inch ones, which looked a little big when I fit them in between the cat and exhaust.
