1994 accord lx auto, i just put in some new ngk spark plugs and changed the gasket sealent because it was leaking oil into the spark plugs, i decided to clean the throttle body, so i did, and now my idle is revin up and down only in park, on its own and blue smoke coming from the tail pipe, and in gear the idle is at 1000 my friend told me its normal bacuse of the throttle cleaner, and it would go away?

 

yes, if all you did is clean the throttle body...it should work itself out within 2-4 min.

 

i drove it for 5-10 and its still revin on park.

 

Try reseting your ECU. pull the backup fuse or disconnect the battery (-) terminal for 30 seconds.

If you are still having the idle surge problem after resetting your ECU. You should check for vacuum leaks and cleaning your IACV & FITV.

 

chances are you have an air pocket in your coolant

 

Have you checked all the vacuum lines? Also the IACV could be the cause.

 

how can i bleed it?
