Default velocity stacks , where does it count (itbs)

im starting another diy build for the f20b and i was wondering what design is better .

a full radius stack or just a flared type .

i see the full radius on the twm and inside some of the best intak manifolds . (magnus)

discuss

thanks

well after hitting up jenvey's FAQ

from what im reading . neither full or flared is the best .

i could be missunderstanding this , but it seems that the horn needs to "curve" only untill 90deg , then it needs a sharpe edge, this is needed to promote air flow from the side but not from behind the horn . ill try to find the pic.

but when thinking about how just about every sport bike is done . they never use a full radius (like the TWM ) that tucks underneith the horn it self

ill find some pics

heres what jenvey is saying works the best

heres the horns i used

and here is the full radius

you can see how the full radius will draw air in from behinde the inlet . i guess that isnt a good thing .

hopfully we can get a good disscussion goign .

You could allways go to profblairandassociates.com and go to the artical section and look for air intake testing. I think it is the 3rd artical down.

i know this is for itbs but do ya'll think profblairs research could be good towards a normal intake? i was gonna go with a blox velocity stack on a short ram intake now wondering if i should get something machined like that in their research?
