Default rotating tires

Hi. I have a 99 Civic LX and I am due for a tire rotation. What is the best method to rotate tires? Front to back and leave them on the same side or cross them from one side to another, front to back?

Just to clarify: I said front to back to be on the safe side. You didn't say what type of tires you had, so I assumed they were unidirectional.

you can still rotate them from the back to front then the back goes left rear goes to right front and right rear goes to left front thats how we do it at work. Heres the site

if they are directional then they have to go back to front on the same side (Ex. back left to front left) they can also be tires that have to be rotated from front left to front right (idk the name but they are rare and you would probably know if you have them) if they are jus regular all season tires then you would rotate them back left to front right. all this information should be found on the tire wall if you are not sure then jus take it to a tire shop it souldnt cost more than 20 bucks to have done and then you know it is done right.

Hi guys. I had a chance to look at the tires today and it doesn't say anything if they are unidirectional or bidirectional. This is all the information on the tires:

Firestone
P185/65R 14 85S M+S
Tubeless Radial
K19R
FR680 02
Treadware 440
DOT W17J
F60 1704
Max PSI:44
Traction A
Temperature B

Can someone tell me how I should rotate my tires? What's the best method?

front to back and vice versa... don't worry about switching sides of the car while rotating no real need for that just switch the front left with the rear left and the right front with the right rear tire

i'm 99.9% sure those tires are for one direction so i wouldn't switch the sides on them

He wants to learn how to do it. Don't hate on someone trying to do the right thing.
