Default header temperature?

does anyone know how hot a set of headers might get in typical street use?

i only ask because the header i just picked up needs a new heat coating. i was looking into por-20 which is good for 1400 degrees.

then again most off the shelf stuff is only good to about 1500 unless you go with swaintech or jet hot or the like.

any input? thanks

Well since you can only run one header from the set, one will be room temp the other hot hot hot But honestly I would think 1100-1400 under a load

I need to do some driving tomorrow anyway, I'll bring out my heatgun and check the temps on a mostly stock b16a2 if OP is still interested.

the coating your going to do will most likely start to gradually chip off. make sure you use the high temp primer if your hearts set on doing it.
