Okay, ladies and gentlemen. I asked this a long time ago, but I think people have had enough time to see how the picture thread developed over the past few months and can compare to my offer for a new "style".

I was thinking of having a stickied thread, that just lists off each user, and a link to their own private build thread, amongst the normal threads in the forum. This way, people can keep track of their favorite builds, and also post commentary and questions to specific owners/builders as to the projects at hand. If need be, I can develop a "demo" version of said design, for people to see what I'm talking about.

It'll take a lot of time for me to develop the thread properly, so everyone that's had pictures in the existing Picture thread, won't have to re-locate the pictures. I'll just take each specific user's oldest thread in the 2001-2005 Civic section, and modify it to be their "build thread". That way, each user can keep it up to date, at their own pace. Not everyone is addicted to working on their car, at every waking moment.


Anyways, please vote when you get the chance, as this is an idea that I will put in motion over the nice long holiday.

Not many people with 01-05 civics are going to have real "build threads", most likely just threads with pictures of their new wheels and stuff. The idea is alright, let's see if it works out..

Agreed. I think the best thing to do is offer it as an option but maintain a picture gallery as well.

They would be in the 2001-2005 Civic section, as they should be.

Thanks. I worked hard on developing something that flowed well enough to make people say, "Oooh... look at that shiny piece of kit."

i like the demo looks neat if you get this up and running i can just look at certain cars instead of scrolling through a huge thread with everyones car in it

Initially, it'll be a ton of work. But, in the long run, it'll require less up-keep, than the existing picture thread. That'll be something I'd be glad to do, as long as it gives people an understanding as to what's going on, I'll be glad to keep it this way.

Just make sure to report things/posts that you're not happy with, and I'll see what I can do to rectify them.
