window motor
Posted this on another site as well. Trying to get as much visibility as I can....
How the hell can I get the driver's power window motor out. I think mine is bad. Teeth are grinding and/or stripping. On my mustang - it is sitting pretty easy by a hole, I can't even see the motor on this car. Don't tell me the whole regulator has to come out too.... Someone let me know.... I can't even find a reference to the motor on the manual I have. It only talks about the regulator. It shows a pic of the motor (somewhat), but no reference on the removal/replacement of it....
Thanks,
Jason

ive never done it on a civic but i did it on my old accord should be the same there was a few 10mm bolts that you have to take off the the motor will come out. the accord motor used like metal wire things to move the window if that makes sence.
Well I did it now .... !!
I took the regulator out and marked where the gear was in position to the regugulator. As soon as I unbolted the motor, the regulator snapped back and the damn spring came out from the other side.
There is two ways to mount the spring depending on where the tension is suppose to be. Does anyone have a picture of a driver's side regulator on how the sping is suppose to be attached. It can go either one of two ways. Anyone who has done this regulator will know what I mean....

Jason
