How is this installed...welded or simple bolt on? I did not install the radiator supports when I did my jdm front conversion, hence the 3/4 inch difference on the hood latch...Although it's currently working with the help of a plastic washer and tiedowns. I would like to do the job right later on...
i'm assuming you got the ef9/8 radiator support? your gonna need to redrill the holes and mount the support further forward, or bolt it in now and bend it forward. or you can try to find a 90-91 style ef1/2 radiator support.

I actually have an entire jdm front end that includes half cut fenders, radiator support, radiator, fans and all reservoir bottles etc. in my garage. I see 2 bolts on top of the rad. support but it looks welded on the bottom. Do I need to have this cut and rewelded on my car?
no, its not welded. its bolted down. 4 bolts on top (2 on each side) and one bolt on the buttom near the crossmember. then theres the latch cable you'll have to remove. let me find a pic for you...
the buttom bolt is found at the end of piece 7. keep pieces 6 and 7 together. let me know if this sounds confusing. btw, which model did your front end come off of? ef1/2/3/..9? hth

Exactly what I need, a picture...thanks! Too bad I had it painted already...oh well, it's coming out next week and I'm just gonna have to redo the radiator support...here are some of the pics. http://www.ofoto.com/PhotoView.jsp?U...6671206403.jpg
thats a ef9 support you got there son. i've seen it work by bolting it just a bit lower then where the usdm one sat. i'll find a pic again.
hey, how are those recaro seats compared to the stock Si seats? i'm considering trying those things out.

thank katman for the pic.

Seats are excellent...bought it from a friend for $450...I managed to bolt two bars across each seat, drill a couple of holes, put the old sliders/brackets in and leveled it with some washers on the outside rail...fits like a glove. Although I'm thinking of replacing em with usdm Type R seats...what do you think?
Thanks for your help again.

if you are only gonna use the middle piece then there is no reason to change from the stock piece. you can bolt in the center section from a ef9 to a stock usdm car and it fits exactly the same. it is the side sections that hold the lights that are different that bring the front end out differently than the us civic. unless you want that hole for the air intake, i would just use the us section.

That was what I was referring to originally...The side section that holds both headlights I thought were the radiator support...But bolting the hood latch (center piece) an inch further is an easier solution...i think.
yea i hear a lot of people say it is just "bolt on" but it sure wasn't for me. to do it right you need to use the whole core support not just that center section. on mine, i had the body shop pull and stretch my core support so that i didn't have that center section hanging off.

Good for you bro...we've got more time than money...at least I do. So a little shortcut should suffice in the interim. Is that a difficult procedure though, stretching the core?
to be honest i don't know. when i had mine done, there was some damage to the front end so they put it on the frame rack to straighten it out. they just did it all at once.
he ef....you just bolt that center piece on, #'s 6 and 7 in the pic...that's all i did and my front end went on pretty smoothly...i know i promised a pic but i lost my freakin camera...sorry

NO problem bro...I already bought a few washers from OSH and a longer bolt...One thing good about this is I have 2 middle pieces that I can work with...I can drill away and mark and test my spot on the first and finish it up with the second...Thank you all for your input.

Hey Coasterlvr, that's a fine EF you have...I'm slowly but surely getting there but I just bought a house, so my expenses are being watched closely by my better half...In fact, I told her I'm only getting the bumpers painted and not the whole car...One more reason I didn't change the color and stuck to the original red...Oh well, I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about...I'm thinking of changing my console and the integra set up that you have is tight...I didn't think it'll fit ...any tips?
