few questions about CHIP

Default few questions about CHIP

i have some question about chip tuning, which ecu has D15B civic? is it OBD1 or OBD2? my friend gave me SPOON P06 CHIP and i don't know what to do, set this chip or not? guys i need your advice, could you tell me if i set this CHIP will it improve something or it just hurts my engine? thanks

ive never messed with chips but i think they just move the redline higher and set the vtec lower or visa versa. a p06 is obd1 non vtec for a d15b7.

Don't use it.

The p08 ECU goes with the obd1 JDM d15b VTEC.

all chips do is make your ecu tunable. unless it is tuned it wont make that much of a HP difference.

Whenever I see somebody ask about a generic chip, I assume they are not going to get their car tuned after installation, so I tell them not to buy it. Without a tune, the chip could make the car run like ****.

x2... which is why i added to your comment. unless u get it tuned keep it stock.

a chip alone wont do any performace gain on your d series engine.so dont do it
