my em2 1.7 vtec ex
is there any possible way of hear the dam vtec on that ...anything other than putting in a k24 bottom end with a k20 head. plan to do it but in a year but would like to hear my vtec .
why are you getting new cams, cam gears, an intake, and an intake manifold if your k swapping in a year? and no, it still wont. A stage 3 NA cam would just make it idle rough and an intake just makes it loud. As for a intake mani, your going to have to go custom because no one makes an off the shelf product yet. Your looking at about a grand right there.
edit: your vtec-e engages at a real low RPM also. i believe its at 2200 but yea, no dice with hearing it, even when boosted.

2700 rpm's, but the point is still the same. You won't really hear it, no matter what you do.
