I have a 95 GSR with stock 6 speaker audio and im looking to put alpine type r 6 1/2 inch components in the front door panels. Im wondering if the Alpine tweeter will fit in the door panels stock tweeter location, or if i will have to make a custom panel for it.

I know the woofer is too big and ill have to cut away the plastic tray, so no big deal there.

Please help me out

 

I just measured the face of the stock GSR tweeter. The diameter is 2-1/2 inches. The Apline tweeter is 2 inchs in diameter. Does anyone know how big the whole is in the door panel once the the stock tweeter is removed?

 

You can remove the tweeter from behind the stock grill and mount the Alpine tweeter there by using either the stock tweeter brackets or using the mounting brackets that come with the Alpine components.
