would front brakes on 95 dx fit the back drum.
Hi i was wondering if anyone out there knows if my front disk brakes would fit the back brakes if i was to convert them. The reason why is because i have front brakes from my 95 integra and i wanted to put those in front.and i want to put the front ones in back.
Depending on your welding/fabricating skills it is "possible"... but it's not the best idea...
Rear brakes are self adjusting so that they never too far off of the rotor so the lesser pressure they receive is enough to make braking power... where as if you had fronts (which are not self adjusting) in the rear they may not work as well since they back off fully.
Also there is no ebrake on front brakes so you will be w/o one unless you mount a small single piston caliper on one of the rears... or some other solution...
Also they will not bolt up to the trailing arms as they are...
Long story short is NO you can't/shouldn't really do that unless you have WAY more time/skills than money.
Just get a rear disk swap for 150-250 at a junkyard.

you can use the integra brakes on the front with no problems, but cannot use them in the back, whether they are from your civic or integra.
they just have no where to bolt up to. now, unless you're willing to be the first to customize this, then anything is possible. it's just not worth the time and money to try something like this.

thanks for the help i will just buy the conversion kit for the rear.If i have the rear integra brakes do they just bolt up or do i need to get the arm off the integra?
You can dis-assemble the drum trailing arm and put the rear disk on there... but frankly it's SOOOO much easier to just have the whole trailing arm assembly and swap that on.
Good Luck
