First of all my budget is $8,000. I'm located in Lincoln, Nebraska. I'm willing to drive a little bit to pick up the right car, but if you're more than a few hundred miles away then I'm going to have to request shipping.

Ok. What I'm looking for is quite simple : A new daily driver. I'm only interested in hatchbacks (preferred) or 2-door coupes. I would like a stock (no engine swaps), low mileage vehicle. I do not want the DOHC motor since I have no need for speed of any kind, I prefer economy.

Mild or at least tasteful appearance mods are ok. Mild engine mods are ok as well as long as they don't hurt the fuel economy.
