Ok i used the almighty search feature but no results

i just need to know if when putting a new alternator on my 16y8 if i should really stick to one from that exact engine or if really any honda alternator would work? or should it be just d series or if a b-series one will work im just wondering.

 

I would stick with the original just becasue of the OBD differences.

 

Ok. And sorry about the horrible grammer/sentencing, i was in a huge rush. So your saying to stay with only a d16y8 alternator? Is there anything else that would also work correctly in case i come across something else first/cheaper?
