Default DIY yellow blubs dont work...

So i bought some password jdm yellow bulbs. there weren't yellow enough for me, so i tried to paint my own. knowing that bulbs get really hot i thought id be safe with the high heat paint. but nope. idk what they use on them but its not high heat paint

what the hell, damn!

Hope you weren't putting those in your low beam headlights

FYI the best quality colored bulbs actually use colored glass, not just a coating on the outside.

haha no there not going in my low beam. i have hid's for that. these are just the old bulbs.lol the password jdm ones have like a purple and yellow tint to the glass with the the tip painted yellow. idk what they use for that but its not yellow enought for me. they just look like dimmed lights cant really tell that much.

it didnt hurt. i had extra bulbs laying around. extra high heat paint and i wasnt satisfied with the ones i bought. i thought it was worth a shot.

i wish i could laugh at u but i have also tryed this...except i used nail polish ...yea i got the same end result stupid me...now ive got HID's

see i have hid's too but i dont want to spend another 100-150 just for yellow hid's and i dont need them to be super bright

thats wired man, I bought some ebay "jdm hyper yellows" for like 17 bucks shipped look almost just like yours, and they are HELLA yellow almost annoying lol, when you get home after driving everything has a yellow tint lol.! wierd

lol i did that coloring thing awhile back, blew my bulbs..now i use the yellow lense cover..





its actually REALLY bright in person

off an 89 prelude Si foglights (the fogs were already broken) so i took the lense..im pretty sure it comes from other cars too..like you see some old people drive some legends with their fogs on...

me , lol i forgot he most likely have a teg...just paint it with "Krylon Stained Glass Yellow paint"



works wonder, a few coats depending on how dark u want it, give it a like some cleacoat and walla!

i did my friends car and its was stupid bright.

Yellow capsuls would be the best thing to do cause you can still use regular halogen bulbs in them or for those who want their lights even more yellow, just buy some yellow bulbs to use in them. I've retrofitted several pairs of fog lights with these things and everyone I've done them for loves the way they look
